Summary
RGC Argentina is hiring a Local Data & Project Coordination Lead based in Neuquén for a long-term service with a leading energy (Oil & Gas, Upstream) company. This is an on-site, field-facing role: visits to field facilities and coordination between the Buenos Aires HQ and local operations, acting as the local point of reference. You run multiple projects with different interlocutors, prioritize and reconcile requests with competing priorities, and translate between internal clients, management and technical teams. Senior profile, versed in data-management strategy and practice, requirements gathering, and IT technologies (data lake, specialized databases, BI, report automation).
About RGC
RGC Argentina SA is a technology-implementation studio with operations in Buenos Aires and Houston. We work with upstream energy operators, mining companies and industrial leaders across Argentina, the region and the United States.
Our portfolio is deliberately multi-domain. We build for the real world: ecosystems where legacy systems coexist with modern data platforms and AI services. A large part of our work is the continuity layer that holds them together, and the coordination that makes technology change land in the operation and run. We do not advise from the outside: we answer for the result.
The role
RGC Argentina is hiring a Local Data & Project Coordination Lead based in Neuquén for a long-term service with a leading energy (Oil & Gas, Upstream) company.
This is an on-site, field-facing role. You are the single point of reference in Neuquén: the link between the Buenos Aires HQ and local operations. You stay close to the data and to the operation — visiting field facilities, gathering needs at the source, and understanding how the people who use what we build actually work — while sustaining coordination with the central teams.
We are looking for a senior profile who enjoys ordering complexity: running several projects in parallel, each with different interlocutors, and prioritizing and reconciling requests with competing priorities — not combative, but legitimate interests competing for the same time and the same resources. Someone with judgment in strategy and data management, who translates both ways between the business, management and the technical teams, and who leaves everything documented for whoever comes next.
What you will do
- Be the local point of reference in Neuquén: single point of contact between the Buenos Aires HQ and local operations, present on the ground.
- Visit field facilities to gather needs, validate data at the source and understand the operation first-hand.
- Coordinate multiple projects in parallel, each with different interlocutors, keeping focus, traceability and momentum.
- Prioritize and reconcile requests with competing priorities: when two internal clients ask for different things, bring order without breaking relationships, agree on criteria and make the decision explicit.
- Run functional requirements gathering: understand what the business needs, translate it into clear requirements and agree them with the technical teams.
- Bridge internal clients, management and technical teams, translating both ways (business and technical) and sustaining the conversation.
- Bring strategy and data-management judgment: data governance, quality, model and ecosystem continuity.
- Support the rollout of data technologies (data lake, specialized databases, BI, report automation) in upstream technical applications.
- Sustain the governance cadence: prioritization, follow-up and progress reporting toward both HQ and the operation.
Must-have requirements
- Senior experience coordinating projects and stakeholders in technical environments (ideally energy / Oil & Gas).
- Residence in Neuquén or willingness to relocate, with availability for on-site work and field facility visits.
- Ability to run multiple projects and interlocutors at once: prioritize, reconcile requests with competing priorities and keep the agreements holding.
- Versed in data-management strategy and practice: governance, quality, data model and requirements gathering.
- Knowledge of IT technologies: data lake, specialized databases, BI and report automation.
- Ability to translate between the business, management and the technical teams: clear communication and the judgment to order priorities without losing the focus on the result.
- Autonomy, outcome focus and documentation rigor.
Nice to have (a plus)
- Upstream experience (drilling, completions and workover) and its technical applications.
- SQL for querying and data analysis.
- Experience with data platforms or BI: feeds, gold layers and metadata contracts.
- Python (or similar) for scripting and automation of validations and reports.
- Management tools: Jira, Azure DevOps or similar.
- Technical English (intermediate / advanced).
Conditions
- One (1) open position, based in Neuquén.
- On-site modality, with periodic visits to field facilities.
- Ongoing coordination with the Buenos Aires HQ.
- Reference hours: Monday to Friday, local operating schedule.
- Long-term managed service, with a senior team and a data platform we know in depth.
- Engagement type to be agreed based on profile.
